Having a complex software application that can help you organize all your tasks, events, ideas and meetings is great, but there are times when you may ask yourself "What's today's date?" You don't need an advanced software for answering to this little question, you only need TrayDay. This simple application can display a small calendar and can simply display the current date in various forms, allowing the user to paste it into any application.

As it runs from the system tray, it is clear that TrayDay is a Windows application that can also run on XP or Windows 7. It is more complex than the default calendar feature included in Windows, without having an exaggerated complexity. The user will get exactly what he wants and that is knowing the date.

Because it runs from the system tray, TrayDay doesn't have an actual interface. There is a option section though, accessible using the right mouse button. This feature allows customizing the program's functionality and also the way it displays the date. Left clicking on the program's icon will bring up a menu in which the user can see the current date in various formats. Clicking on any of them will copy the date into the clipboard, from which one can use it in his preferred application.

Besides displaying the current date, TrayDay can also display a small and colorful calendar that allows one to quickly see, for example, how many days the current month has.

Pros

It can display the current date in various forms. Besides that, the date can be copied into clipboard and used in various applications. Furthermore, the program can display a small and colorful calendar on the screen.

Cons

The program can be considered too simple. TrayDay is a simple app for displaying the current date in various forms.
